TRIBLUE AUSTRALIAN SHEPHERDS

and

AUSTRALIAN CATTLE DOGS

Our first Australian Shepherd was purchased in 1990 from Debbie Nolan of Briergreen kennels. Although I was living with my husband and daughter in a small bungalow in the city of Guelph, I knew I wanted my dog to have the instinct and drive to do what the breed was ment to do: work stock. A tough dog for a beginner, Riley did have working ability as well as the ability and heart to tackle any "job" I asked of him. He is the founding dog of Triblue kennels. A move to the "country" and seven years later, we purchased our first Australian Cattle Dog from Janice Taylor. Savvy, AKA Catalyst- Agz Strawberryfields HI STDds DD FbCH, is our herding dynamo, flyball and frisbee whiz. The rest, they say, is history.
At Triblue we breed one Australian Shepherd litter a year, and we occasionally breed an ACD litter. All our breeding dogs have hips and eyes certified clear. Parents are chosen with emphasis on temperament, health, conformation and that "do-it-all" drive and bid-ability. Although we aim for loving companions, we do not breed "couch potatoes". The Australian Shepherd and the Australian Cattle Dog are best suited for people who want to be involved with their dog, whether it is as a hiking companion, obedience contender, or useful stock dog. Although the level of activity varies from dog to dog, both breeds are intelligent and energetic and need regular exercise. Still interested? Then check out our dogs!
